Banjarnegara

Banjarnegara is one of the tourism destination in central java and the second destination after Borobudur temple (Yogyakarta). The most popular name of its destination is Dieng Plateau. Dieng is located 2.5 hours away from Borobudur temple.

1. Dieng (Nature Tourism), Dieng Plateau is located in the southeast of Banjarnegara and lied in 2.090 meter above sea level. . Dieng is derived from word Dihyang meaning ?god?. Dieng is the chosen place for ancestor, at King Rake Warak Dyah Wanara era in year 809, as holy place for meditation. Dieng is comprising Dieng plateau, Arjuna temple, Telaga Merdada, and candradimuka crater.
2. Mrica Indah Banjarnegara, Mrica Indah is the longest dam in Southeast Asia. It offers sport tourism; boating, canoeing, and fishing.
3. Rafting Zone, Rafting across Serayu River, rafter will explore the Serayu River across the countryside from Tunggoro to Singomerto villages about 12 km long track. due to having a good grade it has been the venue for the 1st National Rafting Championship in 1997. The National Rafting Festival will be held in the middle of 2007. Additionally, you can raft in any season; rainy or summer season because water volume is stable even in the summer.

Purbalingga

Purbalingga is located between Purwokerto and Banjarnegara. The regency has some tourism activities especially amusement swimming pool and cave.

1. Owabong Swimming pool, It is an international swimming pool that the water is purely flowed from Slamet mountain oases. Owabong provides waterboom, water slider, olimpic pool, canoeing, and water adventure. Owa bong is about 20 minutes from city of Purbalingga.
2. Goa Lawa (Cave), It is a cave located in Siwarak Karangreja 40 minutes from city of Purbalingga. Goa Lawa is 900 meter above sea level and is formed by congelation lava of Slamet Mountain.
3. Munjuluhur Adventure Zone, It is an outbound area located in a camping side of munjuluhur desa karangbanjar kecamatan bojongsari purbalingga.

Banyumas

The regency has ample of cultures and traditions. The most popular tourism destination is a nature tourism Baturraden located in Valley of Slamet Mountain 640 meter above sea level.

1. Baturraden, Baturraden offers Nature Tourism where has a beautiful waterfall and scenery. Baturaden is a beautiful, calm, green village on the hill, 14 kilometers ?going up? from Purwokerto. It has a nice climate, in the morning the sun shines is warm. There is the most local attraction in Baturraden waterfall which is local teenager jump from the peak of waterfall into the water (the height is about 15 meters). You might be asked a contribution 10 cents USD from the jumper if you want to see him jumping.
2. Pancuran pitu (seven fountains) and caves, The nicest thing to visit is Pancuran Tujuh hot spout water (70 ? 90 C) that is flowed from gulf of Mount Slamet. It is only 2 Km away from Baturraden that has a beautiful sightseeing of Slamet mountain. It can be reached by car, bike, and walk (not recommended) where the surrounding is pine trees along the road to curug pitu.

Cilacap

The regency is located in the southwest of Central Java and the largest regency in Central Java. The regency is developed for harbour, industry, trading, and tourism. Cilacap is a tourist destination offering tourist attraction of nature, culture, history, and beach.

1. Nusakambangan Island, Nusakambangan is an island known as southern island of Cilacap. The island offers source of nature tourism. The wild, preserved forests and valley are seen along the island. Gua Ratu (cave) with its stalagmite has 4 km length of alley. The island offers you to see the natural mangrove forest and to buy natural stone and gems as the most popular souvenir from Cilacap.
2. Pantai Widara Payung, The beach is located 36 km east of Cilacap where it has clean sand and supported environment for sunbathing. The breeze air from the slanting beach which is fenced by coconut trees offers the tranquility of the beach. This beach has been declared as the ideal and safe place to surf by the International Surfing Organization.
3. Pantai Teluk Penyu, It is located 2 km from Cilacap to the east. Visitors will see beautiful beach, traditional fishing, and fisherman activities. Enjoying Sunrise view and shopping at the fish market in Teluk Penyu is another attraction for visitors. Visitors will enjoy the Nusakambangan island view from the east side of the beach.

Kebumen

1. Gua Jatijajar, The cave is located in the southwest of Kebumen. The cave is 250 meter in length having Some caves; intan, kera, and dempok and oases; Mawar, Kantil, Jombor, and Puser Bumi.
2. Karangbolong Beach, A green valley and coconut field a long the journey companies your travel to the beach. The beach provides beautiful coral reeves and cave. In the four event; Karo, Kapat, Kapitu, and kasongo, harvesting wallet nest (swallow) ceremony will be held. The nests are proved to improve endurance and food for Chinese cuisine.
3. Fortress of Van Der Wijk, It is 21 km to the west of Kebumen. It was built in 18 centuries for the Holland defendant area. The place also provides Hotel, Restaurant, Meeting room, swimming pool, recreation, and mini train.
4. Pantai Lohgending, The beach is the most popular beach in Kebumen. It is because of the beautiful scenery and the unique of the area. Sunsets and beautiful of Nusakambangan island makes the beach more attractive. The unique of Bodo river can be reached by boat. There is a two hour trip by boat traveling a long the river enjoying the sunsets and the sailors.
